Softly spun folk selections.
Theory Therapy 42 is one of the most delicate and thoughtful mixes we've had. It was recorded by Montreal-based producer Kore and consists mainly of stripped-down folk songs that have a warm, home-recorded feel—perfect music for rainy mornings, in my opinion.
“I think this mix was inspired by the season, mid-August. I’ve been slowing down a lot. I can feel the chill of autumn creeping in and it makes me appreciate everything more. All the overgrown gardens, the warm evenings, riding my bike.”

I’ve been obsessed with Elusin.

Tell us about your mix. What inspired it and what kind of feelings were you channeling when you made it?

There's a lot of very beautiful lyrics in your mix. "I'm seeing silences between leaves" from Chimacum Rain is a personal favourite. What's yours?
“Waiting for the light to erase the room I'm laying in” from Pale Interior is my favorite, it fits the mix perfectly.
Where would you recommend listening to it?
Waking up on a rainy morning while making something warm to drink.
Theory Therapy mixes are about sharing the music that you personally find therapeutic, cathartic or restorative. What does that mean for you?
Stillness for me is really important. It’s what helps the most when I’m busy or overwhelmed. Music that is patient, or allows moments of stillness, is what I find most therapeutic.
Is there a particular album or piece of music that you find yourself returning to for similar reasons?
Anything by Grouper.
Tell us about something exciting coming up in your life, music or otherwise.
