Amorphous soundscapes.
Theory Therapy 59 is by two of the artists behind the elusive AIR Krew group, Piper Spray and Lena Tsibizova. In tandem with this recording, we've released pre-orders for their new album, Debtor of Presence. It’s out January on Theory Therapy. We can't wait to share more.
Hey Lena and Piper. Thanks so much for this mix. How are you today?
We are on Dacha. It’s really cold and snowy today. It’s a calm day with my parents and dog.
What was the last song you listened to?
“Silent” by Lust Customer – it's not been released yet.
Your new album is out next month on Theory Therapy. What were the biggest music influences behind the release?
We read Mark Fisher’s book Ghosts of My Life: Writings on Depression, Hauntology and Lost Futures while recording the album. We actively collaborated with the guys as part of the project AIR Krew at that time.
Do you have a favourite place to listen to music?
It doesn’t matter where to listen to music really but we listen to music and make mixes in our flat often.
Where would you recommend listening to your mix?
It depends on your needs – this mix is made for several different moods.
Are there any tracks you’ve used in the mix that are special or significant to you?
All tracks are in their intended place.
Tell us something exciting that's coming up in your life, music or otherwise.
We’ll tell you after the moment it occurs.
